Come on out to the fair!

Quilt Display at the Central States Fair

August 17-26, 2018

The Central States Fair in August provides a great opportunity to display quilted creations. Entries are open to the public. The guild assists in the Quilt Division by providing guild members to serve as Fair Superintendents, who arrange for afternoon demonstrations and oversee the quilt display during the length of the fair.

Guild members volunteer to hang and take down the quilts, as well as sell tickets for our raffle quilt. Entries are open to the public, quilts are professionally judged, and prizes are given for each division. The prizes are made possible by monetary donations from the guild and other local businesses.

This year the fair is open from August 17-26.  We will need volunteers to staff the exhibit, sell raffle tickets and to set-up and take-down.  Volunteer sign-up sheets and fair booklets will be available at the Tuesday Gatherings.

Quilts do not need to be pre-registered.  Bring them to the Fine Arts Building on Thursday, August 16 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm and Friday, August 17 from 9:00 am - 12:45 pm. Pick up quilts at the Fine Arts Building on Sunday, August 26 from 11:00 am -1:00 pm.
