Black Hills Quilt Show

 Save the Date: June 3, 4, and 5, 2021

The 2021 Black Hills Quilt Show sponsored by the Black Hills Quilters Guild is currently being planned.

Please check back on this website later for more information. Registration of quilts will start by March 1, 2021.

Registration is closed

If you registered a quilt for the 2020 show, you will be contacted to see if you are entering it in the 2021 show.

We expect to start registration a little later than usual this year and are planning to have it available by March 1. Since the 2020 show was cancelled, we are expecting more quilts in the 2021 show. It may be necessary to place limits on the number of registrations, due to space avaialble. The registration committee will be monitoring this.

We usually have over 400 competition quilts in our quilt show. About 25% of the quilts are in the Judged Area. There will also be several special exhibits and challenges on display.

There will be many opportunities to replenish your stash and buy new tools and supplies. There are usually 20-25 vendors at our Quilt Show.

If you would like to be a vendor for the 2021 Quilt Show, please fill out the form below or Contact Us .

Learning Lab

The Learning Lab offers several classes during the Quilt Show. Classes and instructors will be announced in Spring 2021.

Open Sewing for Project Warmth

The Open Sew area at the Quilt Show gives people a chance to sit and sew for a few minutes or a few hours. Machines will be provided by Fabric Junction. Fabric, supplies and helpers will be provided by the BHQG. In 2019, four quilts were completed during the show which were used for Project Warmth, the charity outreach division of the BHQG.

The Quilters' Extravaganza

Friday evening during the Quilt Show, there is an event called Quilters' Extravaganza. This starts at 6:00 PM Friday immediately after the close of the quilt show in the Alpine Room (upstairs from the Quilt Show). There is a cash bar and appetizers followed by an evening program. There will be a slide show of the judged quilt winners. Incentive prizes, door prizes, and UFO winners will be awarded. The 2022 Raffle Quilt will be unveiled. There will be a Trunk Show for entertainment.
